What is Maxi Tears Eye Drop? Maxi Tears Eye Drop is a sterile, lubricant ophthalmic solution specifically formulated to provide fast relief from dry, itchy, and irritated eyes. It functions as artificial tears, mimicking the eye's natural moisture to provide comfort and protection. The active ingredient, Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium (0.5% w/v),... is a high-performance polymer that stabilizes the tear film, making it highly effective for treating Dry Eye Syndrome and the "sandy" or "gritty" feeling often experienced in dusty environments. Why Use Maxi Tears? In Nigeria, environmental factors like dust, wind, and harsh sun can lead to ocular discomfort. Additionally, prolonged use of digital screens (computers and smartphones) often causes computer eye strain, leading to dryness and redness. Maxi Tears provides: Immediate Soothing: Relieves the burning and itching sensation instantly. Long-lasting Moisture: Stays on the corneal surface longer for sustained relief. Protection: Forms a protective shield against irritants like smoke and air conditioning. How to Use Maxi Tears Correctly Wash and dry your hands before handling the bottle. Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Instill 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) as needed. Close your eye for a minute and apply light pressure to the corner of the eye to keep the liquid from draining. Caution: Do not touch the dropper tip to any surface (including your eye) to keep the solution sterile. Important Information Contact Lenses: If you wear contacts, remove them before using the drops. Wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Discard the bottle 28 days after opening. Consultation: If irritation persists or if you experience "pepperish" sensations that don't go away, stop use and speak with a Meddylab pharmacist or your eye doctor.
