Effective Treatment for Scabies, Acne, and Ringworm Sulfur Skin Ointment DGF is a reliable topical medication produced by Drugfield Pharmaceuticals, a leading name in the Nigerian healthcare industry. Formulated with 10% Precipitated Sulfur, this 25g ointment is a versatile solution for various skin conditions, including scabies, acne vulgaris, and fungal... infections like ringworm. How it Works The active sulfur in this ointment acts as a keratolytic agent, meaning it helps to soften and shed the outer layer of the skin. This process is essential for clearing clogged pores and eliminating parasites like the scabies mite. Additionally, sulfur has mild antifungal and antibacterial properties, making it effective against the germs that cause pimples and skin rashes. Key Benefits of Drugfield Sulfur Ointment Scabies Treatment: Effectively eliminates mites and provides relief from intense itching. Acne and Pimple Control: Dries out active pimples and reduces excess oil (sebum) on the skin. Antifungal Action: Treats ringworm and other scaling skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis. Affordable Skin Care: Offers a cost-effective treatment for common skin infections in Nigeria. How to Use Sulfur Ointment for Scabies For the best results when treating scabies, follow these steps: Take a warm bath and dry your skin thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to your entire body from the neck down to the toes. Leave the ointment on for 24 hours. Repeat the application as directed by your doctor or pharmacist, usually for 3 to 5 consecutive days. Ensure all clothing and bedding used are washed in hot water to prevent re-infection. Important Safety Information While sulfur is generally safe, some users may experience a mild "pepperish" or burning sensation upon application, especially on sensitive skin. If you are wondering "can I use sulfur ointment on my face?", the answer is yes, but avoid the eyes and mouth. If severe irritation occurs, wash off immediately and consult a professional. You can always contact a Meddylab pharmacist if you have questions about your treatment.
