What is Acretin 0.025% Tretinoin Cream? Acretin 0.025% is a topical retinoid cream containing Tretinoin (all-trans retinoic acid). It is manufactured by Jamjoom Pharmaceuticals (Saudi Arabia) and is NAFDAC registered in Nigeria (B4-7657). It is one of the most effective treatments for acne vulgaris and is also widely used for... anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. By accelerating skin cell turnover, Acretin helps to clear clogged pores, prevent new pimples from forming, and improve overall skin texture. Benefits for Acne, Dark Spots, and Aging Effective Acne Treatment: Works deep within pores to remove whiteheads, blackheads, and prevent microcomedones. Skin Rejuvenation: Stimulates collagen production, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and surface wrinkles. Hyperpigmentation & Dark Spots: Promotes the shedding of pigmented cells, helping to fade dark spots (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) and even out skin tone. Clearer Pores: Reduces the clogging of pores for smoother, healthier-looking skin. How to Use Acretin 0.025% for Best Results To minimize irritation while using Tretinoin cream 0.025 in the Nigerian climate: Cleanse: Use a gentle cleanser and dry your face completely. Wait at least 20 minutes before applying. Apply: Use a pea-sized amount for the entire face. Avoid sensitive areas like the corners of the eyes, nose, and mouth. Moisturize: Follow up with a soothing, non-comedogenic moisturizer to manage dryness. Sun Protection: Tretinoin increases sensitivity to sunlight. Always use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) during the day to prevent sun damage. Managing the "Purging" Phase and Side Effects It is normal to experience a "purging" phase during the first few weeks, where acne may temporarily worsen. You might also notice mild redness, peeling, or dryness. These are signs that the skin is adjusting. If you have concerns about "pepperish" sensations or severe peeling, you can speak with a Meddylab pharmacist for personalized advice.
