Silicone Gel 10g for Scars, Keloids, and Tribal Marks Silicone Gel 10g is a medical-grade topical treatment designed to improve the appearance of both new and old scars. This self-drying, transparent gel is highly effective for flattening raised scars (hypertrophic scars), reducing redness, and softening skin texture. In Nigeria, it... is widely used as a reliable solution for managing keloids and traditional tribal marks. How It Works Medical-grade silicone is recognized globally as the "Gold Standard" for non-invasive scar management. The gel operates through an occlusion and hydration mechanism. Once applied, it forms a thin, water-resistant micro-sheet that mimics the skin's natural barrier. This layer helps regulate collagen production, preventing the formation of thick, raised tissue like keloids. Benefits for Nigerian Skin Nigerian skin types are often more prone to developing keloids and hypertrophic scarring after surgery (like C-sections), injuries, or burns. Silicone gel provides a gentle but effective way to: Flatten Keloids: Helps reduce the height and redness of raised scars. Fade Tribal Marks: Many Nigerians use silicone gel to soften the texture and fade the appearance of traditional marks over time. Post-Surgical Care: Ideal for managing scars after stitches or surgical procedures. Fast Drying: The non-greasy formula dries within 4?5 minutes, allowing you to apply sunscreen or makeup over it. How to Apply Silicone Gel 10g For best results, consistency is key. Follow these steps: Clean the Area: Ensure the scar or healed wound is clean and dry. Do not apply to open wounds. Apply a Thin Layer: Spread a small amount of gel over the area. Do not rub it in. Let it Dry: Allow the gel to air dry for 3-5 minutes. If it takes longer, you may have applied too much. Frequency: Use twice daily (morning and evening). Treatment usually lasts 60 to 90 days. If you are looking for the best scar removal cream in Nigeria, silicone gel is a clinically proven choice.
